I’ve recently finished my first book – it will be printed in a few weeks – and in the book I tried to talk about the difference between successful businesspeople and the not so successful ones.
Apart from the usual “Successful people set goals” comment, my research didn’t find anything decent.
Then today I came across an ABC report that reports some recent studies. And the big differences between the successful entrepreneur and the not-so-successful one?
1. They don’t care what others think of them.
2. They can’t really imagine themselves failing (and I guess even if they did fail, they wouldn’t care what others thought anyway!).
Which kind of indicates to me that fear of failure, and the resulting stigma attached to that, is the main thing holding most people back from achieving their dreams.
Cheers
