Here on the southern Gold Coast there a couple of places the local council puts on free music in the summer.
At Pirate Park, Burleigh Hill and Buskers by the Creek.
You’d rock along with a picnic, sit on the grass and take in the tunes.
The local councillor, Daphne McDonald, was a big fan of a young lady who had her own style and had her at a few gigs.
Turns out our Daphne is quite the talent spotter, because, as Popbitch reports, “if Tones & I is number one tomorrow she’ll have the longest UK chart run for a female artist ever, beating Rihanna (Umbrella) and Whitney (I Will Always Love You).”
Absolutely fantastic to see an artist achieve such huge success.
Cheers
