I don’t understand a lot, but one thing that baffles me is restaurants using the below Deliveroo branded sign as their “We’re closed” sign.
Why would you possibly promote another business and help with their branding on something as simple, easy and cheap as a “We’re closed” sign?
The commission of food delivery service (think UberEats, Deliveroo, etc) typically run at 20-30% commission. That’s fine if the delivery service is bringing you in new customers.
They’re standing at your door – don’t send them away!
But someone standing at your restaurant door doesn’t want to order via Deliveroo et al. So why put the idea in his head?
Bloody stupid if you ask me.
