A few years ago here on the Gold Coast, a huge billboard on the highway was advertising a legal firm.
The billboard was something (from memory) like this:
I knew the ad time on the billboard was up and the owner was searching for someone to take the space.
I approached a local private hospital, who have a large Emergency department, to take over the billboard and take an ad like this one below:
Anyhow, the proposed creative didn’t fit with the hospital’s positioning so the billboard idea wasn’t taken up.
But the recent death of Heath Ledger got me thinking.
If you come across a guy who you think is:
- (firstly) unconscious from drug use, then
- (a few seconds later) dead
I reckon I’d prefer you to call for an ambulance or try and revive me than calling Mary-Kate Olsen a couple of times for advice.
Maybe that’s just me??
