When we complete a web development project for a client we provide them with a Web User Manual that includes my personal home number. I tell the clients to ring me at any time of the day or night should there be a problem with their web site.
The reason is simple: If you’re a client of ours we consider that you have helped us hugely by helping us grow our business. You’re the one keeping us in jobs, keeping the food on the table and the wolves from the door.
Unwanted Example Yesterday
We had an unwanted example yesterday of why we, as your web experts, need to be contactable 24/7.
This web site went down for almost 21 hours. We didn’t receive our emails in that time (if you sent one between 1 am and 10 pm yesterday, could you please resend).
And that paralysed our business.
And for our business, like a lot of our client’s sites, it’s essential that our web site is up and working. And if that means a call at 2 am on a Saturday morning, that’s fine.
I know who pays the bills.
Cheers
