I took a late lunch today and wandered on down to a local cafe. It was 2 pm, a little late for most people’s lunch, and I was the only person in the place.
Jason, the cafe owner who I know, came on over
for a chat as I ate lunch He had a bunch of resumes in his hand. Resumes from people applying for a vacant waiting staff job.
“Tell me,” he said looking at the first resume.
“Would you employ someone with the email address hotstudupforit@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxcom?”
That resume was tossed in the bin.
In life, everything about you says something about you. It’s the same online. It’s the same offline.
Sometimes we all do things that aren’t too smart, but stay aware.
Remember that decisions that might seem funny to your friends may not be that amusing for a potential employer!
Be seen the way you want to be seen always.
