Mmmmm. Sometimes the little guys are best.
On Sunday night I emailed Dell support to ask how quickly their ‘Express Delivery’ service was. That’s where you pay a premium and get the computer you ordered sent to you quicker than the standard 10 days.
I received an answer late on Monday morning (I’ve deleted the email, but this was essentiallly it):
“Normal delivery takes 10 days. You can order via ‘Express Delivery’ and get the product sooner. Thanks for contacting Dell.”
That didn’t actually tell me anything I didn’t already know.
I ordered via another company online and we went and picked up the machine about 2 hours later.
Being small has its advantages – one of them being you can respond faster to customer demands.
Time pressures are felt by all of us in business. We often need stuff now (if not yesterday). Is there anyway you can speed up your service? It could mean more customers.
Cheers
