The Scouts fundraiser we held on Saturday night at the Palm Beach Scouts was a wonderful night. 68 people came along for our Trivia Night and we raised a good amount of money.
One of my kids (Harry aged 11) won the major raffle prize. Oooooops!
1. We got parents into the Scout Hall for a social occasion (they now know where it is, what door to come in, what’s inside once they get there, where they can park, etc)
2. The Scout parents mingled together socially and met the Scout Leaders and members of the committee
3. We made sure everyone had an enjoyable time
It’s All About Branding
It’s all about branding. These people have now become more familiar with our ‘product’. They’ve had a positive experience with our ‘product’.
And those 2 things are important. Because what it means is that next time we have something to ‘sell’ – Scout membership, an invitation to another fundraiser, a request for help with a Clean Up Day, etc these people are far, far more likely to now assist.
It’s not only about raising money. It’s also about creating a positive experience with your brand so you can elicit a positive response when next you require it.
How can you provide a positive experience with your brand? Are you doing it now? What does your ‘brand’ mean to your customers?
Cheers
